These Terms cover your use of the Math Crossword mobile app. By installing or using it, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

The app is not directed at children, and you should be old enough to agree to these Terms in your country. If you are a minor, use it only with the agreement of a parent or guardian.

2. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded;
• use scripts, bots, modified clients or any automation to solve puzzles, submit times or accumulate league points;
• tamper with your device clock, the app's stored data or its network traffic in order to affect streaks, daily puzzles or leaderboard standings;
• interfere with the app's ads or attempt to generate ad impressions or rewards other than by watching an ad through to the end in the normal way;
• use the app in any way that breaks the law where you live.

Leaderboards only mean anything if the times on them were really achieved, so we may remove entries, reset a score or refuse league placement where we reasonably believe they were not.

4. Purchases

There are none. The app has no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paid tiers, and nothing in it is locked behind a payment. If that ever changes, these Terms will change with it and the new version will be published here before it takes effect.

5. Advertising

The app is free and supported by advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Ads appear in two places:

• a rewarded video you can choose to watch to earn one extra hint on the puzzle you are solving — you are never made to watch one, and the reward is granted only if the video finishes;
• an occasional full-screen ad after completing a level.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time under Settings → Privacy options. On iOS you are asked separately whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Declining either does not restrict the game: every puzzle, level and feature works the same, and you will simply see less relevant ads.

6. Your content

The only thing you can publish through the app is the display name shown beside your league standing. The app picks one for you, such as Solver 4218, and you may change it.

That name is visible to other players, so please do not put your real name, contact details or anything else private in it, and do not choose a name that is offensive, impersonates somebody else, advertises something, or would be unlawful. We may change or remove a display name that breaks this, and remove the entry it belongs to.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its icon and its design belong to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. These Terms give you a licence to use the app — they do not transfer any ownership. Individual puzzles are generated algorithmically on your device; nothing stops you sharing a result card or a challenge link, which is exactly what the sharing features are for.

8. Availability and changes

Puzzles are generated on your device, so the game works offline. Leaderboards, weekly leagues and challenge codes need a connection and depend on services we do not control, so they may be unavailable at times. We may add, change or remove features, and may stop offering the app altogether.

9. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Colligo Infotech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colligo Infotech against any claim arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these Terms, or the content you put into a display name.

12. Third-party services

The app uses Google AdMob to serve ads and Google Firebase for anonymous sign-in and for storing leaderboard entries. Your use of those services is also subject to Google's own terms and to the Google Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, or for the content of any ad shown in the app.

13. Privacy

What the app collects, why, and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which removes everything stored on your device. We may suspend or end your access to the online features — leaderboards and leagues — if you breach these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and the current version is always the one published here. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India shall have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
