Number puzzle

A crossword where the clues are arithmetic.

Every row and every column is an equation. Drop the numbers in so that all of them come out true at the same time — there is exactly one way to do it.

Try it right here

Tap a number, then tap a square. Both rows and both columns have to be true at once — that constraint is what makes it a puzzle rather than arithmetic practice.

Questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The game is free and supported by ads. Every puzzle, level and feature is available without paying — an optional video can earn you an extra hint, and that is the only thing ads are attached to.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no password, and the app never asks for your name, email or phone number. Leaderboards work from a random identifier created on your device.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Puzzles are generated on the device itself, so every level and the daily puzzle work offline. Only the leaderboards need a connection.

Is there BODMAS?

No — each equation reads plainly from left to right. 2 + 3 × 4 is 20, not 14. It keeps the puzzle about deduction rather than about remembering operator precedence.

What data do you collect?

Your progress stays on your device. If you use the leaderboards, your solve times and a display name you choose are stored against an anonymous identifier. There is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app. The privacy policy spells out the details.

Which platforms?

Android first, with iOS to follow. This page will carry the store links as soon as each is live.
